“Three local support workers who helped translate and manage candidates for RINJ HIV test-and-treat program have been confirmed killed by the Myanmar Tatmadaw following one month in which the women were ‘Missing’.

Media Release (04/05/2021) Toronto, ON – The RINJ Foundation, a Toronto-based global civil society women’s group delivering its HIV Test-and-Treat programme in Southeast Asia reports that three local support workers to the RINJ Test-and-Treat Project in Myanmar are now declared deceased after a period of a little more than a month being reported ‘missing’.
Evacuation of RINJ medical workers and administrators took place on 9 February 2021 after it was learned that Brigadier-General Aung Aung, and Brigadier-General Than Oo gave orders they had received from Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to search and capture or kill foreign journalists and NGO workers including the HIV test and treat teams which previously had been welcomed under the hybrid civilian/military government.
At 7 February, with most workers in hiding under a protective umbrella of the RINJ Foundation’s security contractor, roughly a week after the military junta of General Min Aung Hlaing who had staged what has become a bloody coup d’état in violation of the democratic wishes of 54 million Myanmar Civilians to overthrow the civilian government which had been elected in a landslide victory in November 2020, only 9 of 12 local translators and support workers could be found.
Several attempts had been made to capture RINJ medical workers using soldiers under a ruse posing as persons seeking HIV./ Syphilis / HBV testing.
On 23 February 2021, the completion of repatriations and quarantine periods was announced.
In a statement published on the RINJ website, Sandra Ellingsworth of RINJ Australia, the team lead for Myanmar, said “The RINJ Women are thankful to all parties who assisted in the project and urge the Myanmar military to conduct compulsory testing within the Tatmadaw ranks and treat infected soldiers.”
“Over time, through 2016 and 2017 and since then among the remaining Rohingya in Myanmar, many soldiers have raped the same women, boys and girls creating occasions for the likely transmission of HIV among tens of thousands of persons. Tests indicated that has happened. Thus, in effect, Tatmadaw male soldiers are sharing each other’s disease via their rape victims.”
“Raping girls very often causes the exchange of whole blood cells, because of the tissue tearing,“ said the nurse practitioner by way of explaining why HIV is transmitted so often in cases of forcible rape of small persons, children [by accepted global definitions] in particular.
“HBV and syphilis were also found by the project among the Tatmadaw ranks and among Rohingya.”
“It may be the most infected military in the world having raped tens of thousands of women, girls and boys, sharing each soldier’s HIV/HBV/ other STDs with each other,” she added.

Min Aung Hlaing is also named in a case under investigation by the International Criminal Court (ICC) along with many other persons including five other generals, two of whom have ordered the killing of RINJ workers, a crime which is confirmed to have happened.
On 2 February 2021, having arrested the elected government of Myanmar in a military junta coup and starting a mass murder campaign to kill opposition, which by all accounts is comprised of 54 million of Myanmar’s population, Min Aung Hlaing became the self-appointed Chairman of the State Administration Council and based on UN fact-finding, Myanmar now has a genocidal mass murderer as leader for whom Russia turned out senior dignitaries to honour Min Aung Hlaing on Myanmar’s Armed Forces day, 27 March 2021.
According to an Israeli security consultant, “the move by General Min Aung Hlaing takes a page out of Rodrigo Duterte’s playbook who in the 2022 Philippines election, which because of a one term 6-year limit in the presidency is planning to run as Vice President on a ticket with “Bongbong” Romualdez Marcos Jr. the son of the disgraced dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos and in this way, escape the long arm of the ICC . Both Duterte and General Min Aung Hlaing are in the sights of the ICC for crimes that are among the worst in human history since the Holocaust and Adolf Eichmann’s administration of the ‘Final Solution’ ,” said Simon Baldock, a security analyst and consultant to the RINJ Foundation.
“This is why the genocidal Min Aung Hlaing planned and launched the takeover of Myanmar, so that he can create his own impunity. Thus he will try to outlast the ICC investigation which may, on the ICC’s record, take the next twenty years. Thus the future of Myanmar is nil, it doesn’t have one. This ‘scumbag’ will kill the country and a countless percentage of its population. As the world watched the reprehensible Min Aung Hlaing conduct a genocide, it will also watch him destroy a Southeast Asia mainland country which is also a neighbour to China. China must now wonder how many of Myanmar’s 54 million are coming to stay. China deserves all the bad luck it gets having helped facilitate the genocide in 2016-2017 and has since helped the violent takeover of Myanmar which is ongoing.” Baldock added.
In a statement from the Security Contractor and in the context of what RINJ is calling a ‘de facto failed state’, 6 Generals have been marked for capture to be brought to the Hague for questioning but the qualifying arrest matter that is contiguous to a serious crime is more about the killing of three local support workers of the RINJ Foundation and the search and destroy orders given to two infantry divisions to find and steal the data of certain NGO workers working in obscure locations, like private HIV test and treat clinics, imposes a requirement of self defence by extension in a de facto failed state . “2017 Crimes against Humanity that Russia and China have given impunity to the Min Aung Hlaing junta for the commission of those crimes, because of their veto power on the United Nations Security Council, are now under full investigation by the International Criminal Court and eventually the 6 Generals will be needed to attend the Hague,” says the RINJ security contractor in a release.
